The New Frontier Armory polymer blow back hammer replaces the standard polymer hammer that comes installed on the LW-4 complete polymer lower. The blowback hammer has been designed slightly narrower, resulting in better compatibility with dedicated AR-15 .22LR, 9mm and other uppers that do not use a bolt carrier with a mil-spec slot.
This part is not be required for standard centerfire uppers but will work with them as well once it is installed.
