If using the SLR Titanium Hybrid Linear Comp, choose a handguard that is 1/2″ to 1″ longer than the barrel length to ensure that the conical portion of the comp is inside the handguard. In general, the photos of SLR builds use a 1/2″ longer handguard, for example, a 5″ barrel will use 5.5″ handguard.

If using handguards under 1.4″ ID, we recommend using Keymod handguards. Due to the diameter of the barrel, the .936 gas block, and linear comps Keymod works better because the Keymod nuts don’t protrude into the handguard like MLOK nuts. Using MLOK handguards under 1.4″ may require modification of the MLOK nuts to get accessories to mount.
